Content Policy and Acceptable Use Policy
Version: 1.0 · Date: 1 July 2026 · Effective date: 1 July 2026
This policy explains what is and is not allowed on goSettle. It applies to Spaces, profiles, posts, photos, videos, comments, reviews, marketplace listings, messages, calls and every other use of the service.
Zero tolerance. goSettle has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We remove prohibited content and restrict or remove users who create, share or support it. Verification lowers risk, but it does not remove risk. A verified account is not a guarantee that a person, listing or claim is safe or genuine.

- Abusive transactions. Using payments, payment requests, reviews, follows, likes or calls to threaten, harass, deceive or unlawfully pressure another person.
4. Marketplace rules and prohibited goods
The marketplace is only for lawful physical goods. You must describe an item honestly, show the full price, disclose material defects and have the right to sell it.
The following may not be listed, offered, requested or sold:
- weapons, ammunition, explosives or items mainly intended to cause injury;
- illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, tobacco, nicotine products or unsafe medicines;
- counterfeit, pirated or rights-infringing goods;
- stolen goods or goods obtained through fraud;
- digital goods, downloads, accounts, access codes, subscriptions or services;
- financial products or services, securities, investments, loans, credit, insurance, tokens or promises of returns;
- personal data, identity documents, payment credentials or financial accounts;
- animals, human remains, hazardous materials or any item whose sale or shipment is unlawful;
- recalled, unsafe or deceptively labelled products; or
- any item that goSettle reasonably considers unlawful, unsafe or inconsistent with this policy.
Prices may be displayed in EUR, USD or GBP, but settlement is in crypto. A displayed fiat amount is an estimate unless the listing clearly states otherwise.
5. Prevention and filtering
goSettle applies technical controls and human moderation designed to stop objectionable Public Content before or after it is published. These controls may include upload restrictions, keyword and pattern checks, duplicate and spam detection, risk signals, user reports and manual review.
No filter is perfect. Users remain responsible for their Content. We do not weaken end-to-end encryption to scan Private Content. Our servers cannot read message or call content. A participant can still report an abusive account and can choose to provide specific content or other evidence with a report.
6. How to report content or illegal activity
In the app, open the menu on a post, comment, profile or product listing and choose Report. Select a reason, add useful details and submit. For urgent abuse, or if in-app reporting is unavailable, email [email protected]. Anyone can also send a notice of Illegal Content to [email protected].
A notice should identify the specific item, explain why it is illegal or prohibited, provide its exact location or link where possible, include the reporter's name and email address unless the law permits anonymity, and contain a good-faith statement that the information is accurate and complete. We acknowledge electronic notices and tell the reporter our decision when we have contact details and the law allows it.
Do not use reporting tools to harass others or submit knowingly false notices.
7. Blocking abusive users
You can block another user from their profile or conversation. A blocked user cannot directly contact or interact with you through the blocked relationship. Blocking is separate from reporting. If a user has broken this policy, report them as well so we can review the conduct for the wider service.
8. Review within 24 hours and enforcement
We review every reported item within 24 hours after receiving the report. Immediate danger, child sexual exploitation and credible threats receive priority. Review within 24 hours means that a trained reviewer assesses the report and decides or escalates it. Complex legal investigations may continue after that first decision.
Depending on seriousness, context, history and legal duties, we may reject a listing, reduce visibility, remove Content, issue a warning, limit features, freeze publication, require re-verification, or suspend or permanently terminate an account. Serious abuse can lead to immediate removal without a prior warning. We may preserve evidence and report conduct to competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
When we restrict Content or an account, we provide the affected user with a clear statement of reasons where required. It identifies the decision and its scope and duration, the main facts, whether automated tools were used, the legal or policy ground, and available appeal options. We may withhold details where the law, safety or an active investigation requires it.
9. Child safety
goSettle has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion or any exploitation of children. Do not download, save, forward or redistribute suspected material. Report it in the app or to [email protected] immediately.
We remove or disable access to suspected material as required by law, preserve relevant evidence lawfully, and report suspected child exploitation to competent law-enforcement authorities and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or an appropriate EU hotline in the INHOPE network. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
10. Internal appeal
You can appeal a moderation decision free of charge through the in-app notice or by emailing [email protected]. Submit the appeal within six months of the decision, identify the decision and explain why it should change. You may add supporting information.
A suitably qualified person who was not solely responsible for the original decision reviews the appeal in a timely, careful and non-discriminatory way. We do not decide appeals only by automation. We tell you the outcome and reasons electronically. An appeal does not automatically pause a safety measure.
11. Out-of-court dispute settlement and courts
For a dispute about a content-moderation decision, an eligible EU user may choose a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act. The European Commission keeps the current list at https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/dsa-out-court-dispute-settlement. The body must be certified and its expertise must cover the dispute. This option does not remove your right to go to court.
The former European Online Dispute Resolution platform stopped accepting complaints on 20 March 2025 and was discontinued on 20 July 2025. It is therefore no longer a route for new complaints. This reflects Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Consumer dispute options that remain available under national and EU law are not affected.
12. Contact points under the Digital Services Act
Authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services may contact goSettle electronically at [email protected] under Article 11 of the Digital Services Act.
Users and other service recipients may contact goSettle at [email protected] under Article 12. Abuse reports may also be sent to [email protected]. These contact points are not automated-only channels.
13. Privacy, evidence and encrypted communications
We process reports, evidence and moderation records as described in our Privacy Policy and only for safety, legal compliance and dispute handling. We limit access to people who need it and keep records only as long as necessary or legally required.
End-to-end encryption means goSettle cannot proactively read Private Content. This does not protect unlawful conduct from action when a participant reports it, provides evidence, or when reliable metadata or another lawful signal supports enforcement.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, risks or law change. We show the new version and date at the top. For material changes, we give reasonable advance notice unless an urgent legal or safety change must take effect sooner.
